1. About this policy
This draft describes KidsQuest Games at kidsquestgames.com, including our learning games, parent accounts, student profiles, membership checkout, and support communications. “We,” “us,” and “KidsQuest” refer to the operator of KidsQuest Games. The operator’s full legal name and mailing address have not yet been confirmed for this draft.
Our service supports K–12 practice. Adults manage accounts and subscriptions; children use learning activities with a parent or guardian’s supervision. This policy describes KidsQuest’s practices, while independent services may also have their own notices.
2. Information collected or stored
- Parent accounts: the adult’s email address, account identifiers, authentication records, and any profile details submitted during registration. Authentication is handled through our account provider.
- Child profiles: a parent-chosen nickname, selected grade, and a link to the parent’s account. Please use a nickname rather than a child’s full name. The child-profile form does not ask for a child’s email, home address, school, date of birth, photograph, or government identifier.
- Learning activity: supported games store progress, scores, completed challenges, and related learning records by child, grade, and activity. Some newer games keep scores only during the session; progress saving is not identical across all games.
- Memberships: the selected plan, order and subscription identifiers, status, billing schedule, and transaction records. Payment and billing details are entered in secure checkout. KidsQuest’s custom game pages do not store full card numbers or card security codes.
- Requests and support: account, subscription, and information-deletion requests; their dates and statuses; and messages or attachments you choose to send by email. Homeschool verification may involve information needed to assess eligibility if requested during that process.
- Game ideas: a signed-in parent may submit a game name, subject, age group, theme, gameplay description, and learning goal. We store these with account ownership, submission date, acknowledgment, and review status for authorized administrator review and future game development. They are not publicly displayed. Do not include children’s identifying information. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of a submission.
- Technical information: hosting, authentication, payment, and asset providers may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, identifiers, error information, and usage records to deliver and secure the service.
3. Children’s privacy and parent oversight
Parents create and manage student profiles from their own accounts. Children should not create a parent account, make purchases, or send personal information to support. Please help your child avoid putting identifying information in nicknames or messages.
Our child-profile and learning features are intended to support gameplay and education. We do not offer public child profiles, public chat, or a public leaderboard in the current member library. We do not sell child profile or learning data or use that data for targeted advertising.
Consent review: the current registration flow includes an adult confirmation. This draft does not represent that an adult checkbox alone satisfies a legally required verifiable-parental-consent process. The operator must confirm the applicable notice and consent procedures before finalizing this policy or expanding collection of children’s information.
A parent or guardian can ask to review, correct, delete, or stop further collection of information associated with their child by using Account Settings or emailing hello@kidsquestgames.com. We may need to verify your authority before disclosing or deleting records. If you believe a child supplied information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate.
4. How information is used
We use information to authenticate parents, maintain separate student profiles, tailor activities to the selected grade, save supported learning records, determine membership access, process subscriptions, respond to support and privacy requests, review game ideas to help develop future learning games, prevent misuse, troubleshoot problems, and maintain the service. We may also retain records needed for billing, disputes, fraud prevention, and legal obligations.
Support, account verification, password recovery, and subscription messages are operational communications. Promotional communications, if offered, should provide the applicable choices; an account email is not a child’s marketing profile.
5. Service providers and disclosures
Information is handled by providers needed to deliver the service:
- Wix: site hosting, member authentication, database storage, subscription administration, checkout, and related operational services. See Wix’s Privacy Policy.
- Payment providers: the providers displayed in checkout handle payment details and transactions. Available payment methods depend on the subscription and site configuration.
- Google services: our support mailbox uses Google Workspace. Pages that load Google-hosted fonts may also send technical connection data to Google. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Authorized administrators can access records needed to operate KidsQuest and resolve requests. We may disclose records when legally required, to address fraud or security incidents, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable protections and notice requirements. Providers may process information outside your country. The full provider and data-transfer inventory is part of the review of this draft.
Read-aloud voices
Optional AI read-aloud uses the open-source Kokoro model in your browser. When you open the playground or member library with an AI voice selected, or open a game directly, your browser preloads software and voice/model files from jsDelivr and Hugging Face. Those hosts receive technical connection information such as your IP address and request metadata. KidsQuest does not send question text, student profiles, or learning records to an AI speech inference service; AI speech is generated on your device. The model download may be cached by your browser. Current and upcoming question audio is prepared in advance and kept in memory and a size-limited browser cache for faster playback across games and visits. Cached audio expires after seven days or can be removed by clearing site data. It is not saved to a student profile. Public question content for all grades is preloaded in the background and cached in your browser for up to five minutes to reduce loading across games. Voice and speed preferences are stored in this browser and shared across KidsQuest games on the same device. Device-voice backups use your browser or operating system speech service, which may use its own online provider. No microphone or voice recording is required.
6. Cookies, browser storage, and guest play
KidsQuest and its providers use cookies or similar technologies for functions such as authentication, security, checkout, and operational measurement. Our site uses browser storage to remember sessions, selected grades, the selected student, cart selection, and guest progress. Some information can remain on a shared device after a visit.
You can manage cookies and site data through your browser. Clearing storage may sign you out and remove local progress and preferences. It does not by itself cancel a subscription or erase server records. Browser privacy controls may affect account, checkout, and game functions.
7. Access, correction, and deletion
Sign in to Parent Account and open Account Settings to manage your family. You can delete a child profile and its saved learning records after confirmation. This is permanent and does not change subscription billing.
Account Settings also allows membership cancellation, suspension requests, account deletion, and requests to delete personal information. Suspension and full information-deletion requests require administrator review; submitting a request does not immediately pause billing or erase data. Direct account deletion requires active memberships to be canceled first. Deleting a login does not automatically remove every contact, payment, support, or backup record.
For a copy of information, corrections not offered on screen, withdrawal of permission for future child-data collection, or rights available in your location, email us from the parent account’s address. We may request proportionate identity verification and explain any limits that apply. Do not email passwords, card details, or government identification unless a secure, necessary process has been specifically agreed.
8. Retention and security
Profile and supported learning records remain available while maintained for the account, unless removed through the deletion process. Some billing, support, request, fraud-prevention, and backup records may remain where needed for their purpose or required obligations. This draft does not promise a fixed deletion deadline; a category-specific retention schedule and provider backup deletion procedures require confirmation.
Our account and database services use authentication and access permissions. Parents must keep their login secure and use care on shared devices. No internet service can promise absolute security. If you suspect unauthorized access, reset your password and contact us promptly.
9. Schools and educators
The current account model is parent-managed. A teacher or school should not upload student rosters, educational records, or other children’s information without appropriate authority and any required agreements. This draft does not claim school-contract, FERPA, COPPA, or other certification.
10. Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we will update the date and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required. A new notice does not retroactively authorize a materially different use of children’s information.
11. Contact KidsQuest
For privacy and child-data requests, contact hello@kidsquestgames.com or visit our Contact page. The final policy must include confirmed legal-operator and postal contact details.
